Earlier this week President Obama released his new budget for next year. I join many Americans who are strongly concerned that this budget includes more than $2 trillion in new taxes on small businesses and middle class families, while adding a record $1.2 trillion in deficit spending. Just one week after the President pledged to present a budget focused on jobs and the deficit, he has sent us a budget that will destroy millions more American jobs and shatter records for deficit spending. it is an understatement to say that wasteful Washington spending is out of control, and must be reversed.  Senator Dorsey, in a letter to fellow legislators this evening, sounded more like a spoiled child than what is expected of a senator.  This just goes to prove that some of the legislature still doesn’t understand…it’s the spending…it’s excessive and it has to stop.  That means their pet projects, too. There are more lessons to be learned from the past legislative sessions.  I hope legislators and the Governor’s office are paying attention.  The people want more than just accountability, they want efficiency and a good value for what they spend in taxes. (more…)
